What ScribeZip does
The product provides a private transcription workspace powered by OpenAI Whisper. Users can upload a supported file, review the generated transcript, and export documents, captions, spreadsheets, web files, or structured data.
Accuracy and responsible use
Speech recognition is a useful first draft, not a guarantee of perfect wording. Accuracy varies by language, recording quality, accent, background noise, overlapping speech, names, numbers, and specialist vocabulary. Important transcripts should always be reviewed before publication or professional use.
Privacy by default
Uploads take place inside a signed-in workspace. ScribeZip first tries to extract video audio in your browser. When extraction succeeds and the extracted audio is used, the original video stays on your device. Otherwise the video is uploaded privately and deleted after processing. Directly uploaded audio and audio extracted from video stay in private storage for up to 60 days unless you delete them sooner. Account transcript history is available only to the signed-in user.
