Terms of Service
Terms for using the ScribeZip transcription service.
Effective July 24, 2026
Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of ScribeZip (scribezip.com). By using the service, you agree to them.
The service
ScribeZip converts spoken audio from supported common audio and video files, including MP3, MP4, M4A, MOV, AAC, WAV, OGG, OPUS, MPEG, WMA, WMV, AVI, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, 3GP, MKV, WEBM, VOB, RMVB, MTS, TS, QuickTime, and DivX, into text and related export formats.
Your files and rights
You keep ownership of files and content you upload. You give ScribeZip and its service providers the limited permission needed to store, process, transcribe, and deliver that content to you.
You must own the content or have all permissions needed to upload and process it. Do not upload content that violates copyright, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, or other rights.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for activity under it. Do not share access in a way that circumvents plan limits. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- use the service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity;
- upload content you are not authorized to process;
- bypass security checks, rate limits, usage limits, billing, or other safeguards;
- automate high-frequency requests outside an approved API arrangement;
- probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or compromise the service; or
- use results to violate another person's rights.
Accuracy
Speech recognition can make mistakes, especially with names, numbers, accents, overlapping speakers, background noise, and specialist terms. You are responsible for reviewing transcripts before relying on, publishing, or distributing them. ScribeZip does not provide professional advice.
Plans and payment
If you purchase a paid plan, the price, included usage, renewal period, and applicable refund terms will be shown at checkout. A payment service processes the transaction. You authorize applicable recurring charges until cancellation. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
Availability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may change, pause, or discontinue features and may perform maintenance without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScribeZip is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from use of the service. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you paid ScribeZip during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
You may stop using ScribeZip at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, abuse, security risk, nonpayment, or legal requirements. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page or communicated through the service. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
