ScribeZip uses OpenAI Whisper for speech recognition. OpenAI documents Whisper’s multilingual transcription, language identification, timestamps, and robustness to accents and background noise. Language options follow Whisper’s public language list; actual accuracy still varies by audio.

What does the free plan include?
Signed-in users receive 3 free transcriptions each day. The daily allowance resets at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) New York time. Free exported files include a short ScribeZip notice at the beginning and end. Upgrade to Unlimited to remove it.
What does ScribeZip read from a video?
ScribeZip transcribes speech from the video audio track. It does not read silent slides, visual actions, or on-screen text.
